TNB Research Sdn. Bhd. (TNBR) is the research arm of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB). TNBR’s main role is to conduct research and development to address some of the most pressing energy issues of our times, including:-

•  how to meet the increasing demand for electricity while mitigating the effects on the environment,
•  how to ensure power generation options remain efficient and available,
•  how to develop and integrate next generation green energy technologies to ensure sustainable development, as well as how to improve the reliability and robustness of power delivery to customers

Positions:-

1. TECHNICIAN (Occupational Safety, Health & Environment)

Closing date : 09 May 2014

2. SECRETARY

Closing date : 23 April 2014

Responsibilities:

The successful incumbents will:

Assist in managing and maintaining the Safety Excellence Management System (SEM) in TNBR.
Coordinate audits & track progress of corrective action required.
Liaise with Lab Managers, Section Heads and team leader of the PTKK regarding occupational safety and health
Assist in planning and execute the occupational safety and health activities.
Plan and liaise with the laboratories in scheduled waste disposing activities according to Environmental Quality Act.
Coordinate and compile incident reporting & investigation in systematic manner & develop means to reduce incidents.
Conduct Safety Induction talks to all contractors who will execute works in TNBR premises.
Monitor all activities pertaining to safety at workplace.
Coordinate with all floor fire marshal to ensure all escape route is clear.
Inspect/monitor all fire alarm devices and ensure they are in working condition.
Conduct in house safety audit for TNBR.

Requirements:

The prospective candidate should:
Possess at least a Certificate/Diploma Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma inMechanical/Electrical/Civil/OSHE or Equivalent from higher learning institutions recognized by JabatanPerkhidmatanAwam (JPA) / Malaysian Quality Agency (MQA).
At least 2 year (s) of working experience in the related field.
Must be familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
Presentable, result oriented, multi-tasking and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
